Where did Jesus mention His Crucifixion?...
Sunday, October 30, 2016
Jesus clearly speaks of His death and crucifixion, as shown in the verses below.
12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
Joh 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto myself.
Joh 12:33 But this he said, signifying by what manner of death he should die.
Mat 20:17 And as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples apart, and on the way he said unto them,
Mat 20:18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests and scribes; and they shall condemn him to death,
Mat 20:19 and shall deliver him unto the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify: and the third day he shall be raised up.
So we see Jesus mentioning His death and crucifixion on at least a couple of occasions, which He willingly endured :
Heb 12:2 looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God
